Mark
Bradford grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, and began singing
in church at age 8. He began writing original songs at age 18,
and drew early inspiration from such artists as Andrae Crouch,
Michael Omatian, Elton John and Harry Nilsson.
Mark studied music at Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL, and graduated in 1977. He formed his first band, Joy Road, there. Joy Road performed for churches, youth groups, and campus events.
Mark and his wife, Sharon, met at Olivet, and were married the summer of 1977. They moved to Denver the fall of '78, and began attending Denver 1st Church Of The Nazarene, where they are members today.
In 1985, Mark's band won the first ever "Battle Of The Bands" competition at the Christian Artists Seminar at Estes Park.
Mark began writing and producing song parodies for radio in 1987. Today he is one of the top song parody writer/producers in America. He writes and produces song parodies for radio stations in cities across the country, including Kansas City, Philadephia, and Houston. He has been a long time contributor to the nationally syndicated TM Century Comedy Network, which is carried on over 100 radio stations nationwide. In 1997 and 1998 he produced weekly Bronco songs for KOA radio throughout the Broncos' championship seasons, and performed at several rallies, including the victory rallies at Mile High Stadium and Denver Civic Center Park.
Mark has been producing music projects for One
Way Street, Inc., the leading puppet ministry supplier in the world, since
1988. He has produced the Puppets in Concert series, the Target Trax series,
the Happenin' Hymns series, and the very popular Righteous Pop Music parody
series., which is played on Christian radio nationwide.
Mark released his first tape of original music, Right Now, in 1989. He released Sin No More in August of 1996. Mark produced the CD himself in his own studio, and used some of the top musical talent in the Rocky Mountain region in its production. Sin No More embodies a wide range of musical styles, all the while challenging the listener to a deeper walk with Christ.
Mark's most recent CD, Drive-Thru World, is a fun, light hearted, yet challenging look at the non-stop stressful world we live in. It was released in July of 2001, and also features some of the top musical talent in the Denver area. In 2002 Mark remixed, remastered, and added five new songs to the CD release of Right Now.
Mark lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife, Sharon. They have been married since 1977. Sharon works in the computer graphics industry, and is an original artist in her own right. They have no children.
Whether performing solo or with his band, Mark appeals to all ages with his upbeat contemporary songs, thoughtful, challenging ballads, and driving rock & roll. With his powerful voice and his heart for ministry, he shares through his music what God has been talking to him about in his own life.
